Liquidation Orders Finalized for Bankers Life/Colorado Bankers Life Insurance Company

On November 30, 2024, liquidation orders entered in the State of North Carolina for Bankers Life Insurance Company and Colorado Bankers Life Insurance Company will become final. A related company, Southland National Insurance Company, was liquidated in 2023. Affected policyholders will receive information in the mail about servicing their policy, including requesting the surrender of an annuity. On October 2, 2024, the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Life & Health Insurance Guaranty Association levied a Class A assessment on all member companies and a Class B Assessment on life and annuity accounts. Invoices will be sent to member companies beginning October 8, 2024 and payment is due by November 8, 2024.
